Picnic trip to the park, good or bad?

I have a ball python, columbian redtail, hog isle and a burm- so I am posting this in both Python and Boa forums.
I have heard that nothing is better than all natural UV light from the sun to make a pet happy, healthy, and flourish. Just like humans, snakes like and really need natural light to. I have seen so many pictures of people taking their snakes out in their backyards and having them outside in general. Are their any downfalls to letting my snakes play out in the grass for a while (supervised of course)?
I don’t have my own backyard, but I am concerned that if I took one of my snakes to a park or something, that treated or fertilized grass may be a harm. I have a mite stick above my tank to prevent mites, but can they easily pick up bugs and other pests from outside? Also, is there such a thing as them getting a sense of freedom or have an instinctual sense that outside is where they want to be and therefore will be pissy or irritable being back inside and in their tanks?
I want to do what’s best for my snakes, but I don’t want to accidently do harm in the process.
So what do you all think? A picnic trip to the park, good or bad?

They don't need UV light, also you could pick up mites or other parasites. also as clownfishie stated in EC bringing your snakes into the public is a good way to freak people out.

BAD - would never do it .. Ure just bringning attention to yoursellf and don't get me wrong it not bad for te animal but not really better either..

UV for a carno is not needed

I would have to say that your nocturnal imperator would probably benefit minimally from exposure to natural sunlight. However, it would benefit from outstanding husbandry, feeding, and security. You make he choice though, its your snake.

Poor word choice- I didn't mean that I would technicaly take her to a kiddie park, I would just want to take her somewhere where there is untreated grass. But thanks for your help!

You can to look for a place in the forest that don't give problems to control your snakes (no much hide places, and not much people around)
You'll need to take the car, etc, etc , but in this way you will be sure that the grass is as natural as it can be.

but if you drive to go some where else .. Arn't you just adding on more stress to the animal? Why stress out an animal when its not needed?

If you take your snakes to a park, they will get stressed anyway. Do you imagine living alone in a enclousure and your keeper takes you to a park, all plenty of extrange odours, extrange animals and the possibility of an attack?.
Isn't it stressing?. If you can't give peace to your snake when it's roaming, then let it alone in its home.

i never thought the ride in the car hurt the snake. that is just my experience. i put my JCP in a pillowcase and take him to my preschool where i teach, to show the students. he has never seemed agitated. but if anyone knows anything to the contrary, please let me know, before i take my burm somewhere in the car.
