Does anybody breed Helmeted Geckos or have any. I have one female (I think) named Rootbeer. Her partner Coke died this summer from impaction and stress. Any ways I'm looking for a good home for Rootbeer or to obtain another. The pair had one egg - that I found anyways. Also if anybod knows some good sites about Helmeted Geckos I'd appreciate it, I had a few, but they seemed to have disappeared. I'm going to post a few pictures cuz they are cute!!!! OH they are besides one of the halloween sized crispy cruch bars to get an idea of their size,- about two inches from head to tail.

and a picture of her underbelly for those who are good at sexing them. I'd appreciate any comments and if you want some better pictures I can take some more. She is fairly calm, likes to act dead and then suddenly dash!!!

Hey Danya. If you do a Google search on these great little geckos, the few sites that do come up, is about all the info you'l l find. I myself find any in depth info on them quite scarce.
I had 2.2 Helmeteds for bout a year, but lost them to the heat wave we had back in June.
I came home to an apartment that was 90 degrees, and 2 were dead, and the other 2 went the following day. Surprised me that I didn't lose any Rhacs to that kind of heat.:( Packed up the survivours and went to the folks place till we got AC.
Anyway, looks like a female for sure to me. Great little geckos that are hard to come by. I miss watching my guys hunt crickets.

Sorry to hear about your loss Clint. Coke was my first loss, I'm glad I still have Rootbeer though because your right they are nice little lizards.

I was actually told to contact you regarding them. I've done the google search, but like you said there is very little information about them. There used to be a really good website about how to breed them, but I lost it when my computer crashed. Thanks for trying to help.

No problem. I had the one female lay an egg here or there, but never in the laybox, so they dried out pretty quick.
If you have any questions bout them feel free to ask, and I'll try my best to help ya out:)
