Just felt like posting a picture of two of my youngest Crested Geckos. I purchased them from the Gecko Brothel and couldn't be more happier with them.
P.S ignroe the dates on the pictures, I haven't changed my camera settings yet.

I don't have my creative juices flowing, so the only things I can think of are Cyclone, or Tsunami (to go with Hurricane).

They are definitely some very fine cresteds! How old are they? Any inkling on their sex? I really like Hurricane, I was actually looking for something similar not to long ago!

Goodluck with them!

those are really cute but when you say they are your yongest i start to wonder... i have a really tiny crestie... like its like 10cm no more... and iv had it since august :s did i get it too young... he hasnt grown much. i feed him tons of pinheads, babyfoods and fruit mixes. recently he got skinny so i hand feed him every now and then. he isnt growing much though. he gets vitamins and calcium as well as i have a special uvb and uva bulb that i use on him ocassionaly... any1 know why he isnt growing much?

What size enclosure is your little guy in? Also, depending on the size, you might be feeding crickets that are too small. I start my hatchlings out on crickets just under 1/2"s, so if you are using 1/16ths, I would say they are probably too small. 10cm with tail sounds like a hatchling to 1mth old size to me. Some cresteds are slow growers, but if your little one looks like he's getting skinny, that's not normal. Do you have enough hiding spots for it? Maybe it's stress. These are all just guesses, trying to come up with some ideas.

Where did you purchase this gecko from? Have you tried to contact the breeder for more info, to see if this happened with others, or to find out how old it was when you purchased it?

Perhaps answering some of these questions would help myself and others help you.

Too small of a space is generally a misconception, to a certain degree. Yes, it matters that they can find their food, but they generally don't get stressed by a larger area.

My hatchlings start out in a 13"w x 16"t x 20"deep enclosure, and they have all thrived in that environment. I put a pothos plant or a snake plant in there, and a branch, and everybody is happy!

They've actually been growing like weeds (see my thread called Pics of My Red baby (http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73570))

Do you know what the temps are in the enclosure?

Lots of climbing room is best, with lots of branches to hop around to and from.

Hopefully we can figure this out

Everybody thanks for the names! I'm going to go with Amanda's suggestion of Cyclone. It goes nicely with cyclone. So I know have Cyclone and Hurricane.
And Chocolate, Peanut, Butter. And Tigger and Shane... I seem to like themes.

Betty thanks for the ages...I couldn't remember.

Hurricane hatched out May 7th (6 1/2 months old),Cyclone hatched out July 1st (4 1/2 months old). Ryan is sure that Hurricane is female and 90 % sure that Cyclone is a female as well. Time will tell on his predictions.
Love the names, I seem to go with themes as well (Smartie, Oreo, Fudgio, Reesie, Taffy) (Malik, Maliki, Malikai, Myesha, Manuelle)

Hey don't worry about changing the forum, its nice when things take off. Plus I'm learning from it as well. I should hopefully have babies from my older guys and I'm sure that I'm going to be wondering the same thing that you are.

It's actually nice to know that somebody else is learning. It can get a bit intimidating with all these experts around :P
I sometimes feel silly asking questions :dumb:

Every expert has to start somewhere! My philosophy is that asking lots of questions now, and learning from them, will help achieve expertism!

And even if you are asking silly questions (which you aren't), I'm sure the community is glad that you are seeking help, and not letting your animals suffer because you don't want to ask questions. It's the people that don't ask questions that I worry about more!

danyarp, glad you liked the name. Cyclone was the first name that popped into my head when I saw that you named the other one Hurricane!

topaz, those temps look about right, possibly on the high side if anything. I keep my guys around 72F, which is about 22C. How are you heating it? Have you tried to contact the breeder yet?
