For when they are small, feed them pinhead crickets (the smallest they sell). You shouldn't feed it anything larger than the width of it's head. Usually, paper towel is used as the most basic, and safest substrate for babies. Feed it every day as much as it will eat (around 4-5 small crickets) dusted with calcium and vitamin powder. Make sure there is a small water dish, and good hide box. I prefer buying hideboxes made from ceramics or clay that are a little heavier, in order to give them something to rub against when shedding. Provide a moist hidebox at the cooler end of the tank to aid in the shedding process. You can put moist soil in a margarine container or something.

To sex them, you'll have to wait unti lat least 6 months, it is easier when they are about a year old. The males will have bulges at the base of it's tail and a V-shaped row of pores as well. for females, the pores aren't as clear and there will be no bulges at the base of the tail. Hope this helps, ask more questions if you're not sure of anything!

I would highly recommend feeding small meal worms, you will thank me later when you don't have to buy, catch and listen to crickets.

They will eat 1-2 a day for the first little while then gradually get up to several a day.

Also make sure you have a bottle cap or something of calcium powder in the enclosure.

Good luck.
