Well after following numerous gecko forums over the past year mostly European seems that roaches are to be the feeder of the future and far superior to crickets and other feeders out there at the moment... Wondering what others think either through research or from personal experiences? Anyways after much pondering I'm thinking of giving them a try and the species that seems to meet my needs best are Orange Spotted Roaches (Blaptica Dubia) in saying this does anyone currently work with these or worked with them in the past and wish to share both the good and the bad... Also as of yet have not had a ton of luck tracking any down in Canada so any leads would be greatly appreciated... Look forward to hearing some opinions and or comments on the subject.... Thanks in advance
i realy dont know if roaches will become the feeders of the future
they can be fairly expensive and hard to find. But if you do get some you shouldnt have much trouble breeding them from what ive heard.

Lobster roaches are cricket size (approximately), they're great feeder roaches. False Death's Head roaches are pretty good too though a bit bigger. If you do find some, they're easy to breed but make sure they don't escape - even in our Canadian climate, some manage to stay alive over winter if they get near a warm spot in the walls. Furnace ducts are great to hang out in until spring arrives.
The main reason they probably won't get too popular is that they're "highly" illegal. Not many people who have them will openly admit to it making it harder to track down a starter colony. For some decent info about relatively easy to find species, check out Allpet Roaches ; Blattodea Rearing. (http://www.angelfire.com/oh2/Roaches/)
