YAY, My girl ate...

I decided to put a live rat in with my new emmy to get it to eat, I put it in yesterday evening and when I woke up this morning it was gone. I have had her a month and a half and I am very excited to see her eat....

My question is....there is alot of moisture in my enclosure and now there is a bit of rat poo on the bottom, how long should I let the meal settle before I desturb her enough to clean out the enclosure (she has to be handled and moved).

I dont want her to loose her food.

I would say to crack open the door and let some of the humidity dissipate or the feces will start to grow mold, then wait 4 days before cleaning the enclosure. You should get a taller cage that you can clean the bottom of without having to touch the snake. I clean my emerald's cage whenever it needs it and my emmies just stay on the perches while I work below.
