i know that there is really no "blood" pythons, they are all really short-tail pythons and "blood" is simply a nickname for them. i really like the look of the "bloods" that are BLOOD RED in color. so am i correct on the following information?

"black blood"= sumatran short tail
"borneo blood"= borneo short tail
"red blood"= malaysian short tail

if the above information is correct, then i would like the malaysian short tails, right? and also, is it true that the malaysian short tails or "red bloods" grow to be largest of all the short tails?

The malyasian bloods are the only member of the former curtus family that are still called bloods, the other two are as you said called short tail pythons.
And yes the bloods do get the largest, an average female will be 7ft long and around 30 lbs
Cheers
Paul

Python Brongersmai= Blood Python Python Curtus= Sumatran Short tail Python Breitensteini= Borneo Short Tail In my opnion, people cause too much confusion by refering to the two short tailed species as bloods (black bloods,Borneo bloods). There is only one Blood python, Python Brongersmai, reguardless of the color phase or locality.
