I Haev 3 Diff. Snakes, In 3 Diff Tanks. They All Have Heat Lamps And I Put Heating Pads Under The Tanks.which I Keep On A Low Setting. I Have Noticed That None Of The Snakes Like To Say In There Hides Anymore, And Yes This Was Happening Befor I Put The Heating Pads There. Its Like They Rather Be Cold Or Something. Can Anyone Help Me On This, Maby Why This Might Be Happining. And By The Way The Heating Pads I Got From Wal-mart Have A Automatic Shut Off Switch After 60 Min What Can I Do About That Also. Thanks Very Much. I Always Have Qustions But Always Think That My Qustions Are A Lil Off The Wall. So I Only Post The Ones I Dont Think Is Crazy Lol. Thanks Again

i cant help with the auto shutoff.. the only thing i could suggest for that is get a timer that turns off all even 59min.. then back on a min or 2 later.. maybe that will work.. but that safety feature is one there for a reason.. dont bypas it.. as for the staying on cold... when they get cold theyll go to warmer areas.. there not dumb.. lol... they know better then we do what there doin...
one of mine actually moves his cold hide where he wants it.. he likes it better, gets in and when he gets cold rather then move to the warm hide he moves his hide over there.. lol..

thanks very much. i will try the auto thing, i did think about that but didnt know if it would work. my tanks are staying anywhere from 78 to 82 somewhere in there and i cant seem to get them warmer for some reason. but then they tend to stay on the cold side alot. i dont know it just seems weaired. if someone else has this prob. please let me know. just so i dont think my snakes are crazy or something. thanks again!!!

Aright, 1st what are you keeping the human heatpad on low, medium or high. 2nd i hope theres more then one hide in there. 3rd what snakes do you keep and 4th do you have a thermometer.
When i used to use human heatpads they were on low and the tank was raised a little so they if they burrow they dont get burned. well if you answer the questions i may be able to help.
