I REALLY should have thought it out before I did it.....
I was re-organizing my room today, moving tanks and making room for more critters and I wasnt able to move my B.C.I's tank with her in it. So FOOLISH me thinks " ah its alright, shes a sweetheart, i'll just move the tank while she hangs out on me "
( By the way...shes just over 6 ft )
DUMB THING TO DO. Now I KNEW better than to handle an animal of her size ALONE. Doesnt matter that shes a sweety and has never bitten me....My mistake made for a painful exprience.
As she was "hangin-out"on me i acidentally squished her tail between my legs( shes fine dont worry, no injuries ) and she bit my elbow...HARD. I've never felt a bite like that....
I was SCARED at this point because now..not only do i have a very large, very pissed off snake wrapped around my body, but Im also bleeding excessively from my arm and theres NO ONE home to help with this.
*deep breathing*
Needless to say I got her back into her tank and she calmed down enough to let me do so. Shes alright ( i was more worried about her than my arm lol ). My elbow on the other hand is pretty nasty looking. The 2 pics were taken about half hour after it happend. ( Im glad it wasnt as hard a bite as she COULD have delivered )
Im never doing that again....I knew better too, but thought for a moment that nothing would happen...never assume lol. Im glad she's alright. Next time I decide to do some re-organizing I'll wait till my b/f is home from work so he can help.
