Hello, I was looking through the beach today for wood for my Nelson's Milk Snake. And My mother and i was wondering if a quick wash over of water would be anough to wipe the salt of the wood. Some of the wood varies from...normally wood. lol. to drift wood.

SO my question is; Is it suitable to use wood from the sea (and wash over with a hose/shower)

Please Reply Fast as i dont want to make a mistake and harm my snake.

Most Apprectiated, Scott x

you can defenitly use drift wood from the sea. but just washing it wont do much. you should cook it in an oven.

Ive done it many times, takeing beautiful driftwood and putting them in your cage with the critters. you can do one of 2 things.
1- cook it in your oven at about 300C for an hour to kill any bacteria
2 soak the wood in a water and javex solution for a day.
