I was wondering what brand of heat pad is the best for a ball python. I am thinking of getting a t-rex cobra heat pad. There are other cheaper ones but have heard that this is the best. Are cheap heat pads as good as semi expensive heat pads, or is it just the name brand? Any info will be greatly appreciated. If you have a favorite/best heat pad please give me the name/brand/etc... THANKS!!!

IMO, all the same. Once they have a dimmer on them, they all produce the same amount of heat and keep that temp steady!

Even human heating pads are fine, if the settings (low or med) are the perfect temps, since you can't put them on a dimmer.

I'd go with the cheapest one that is the size you need for the enclosure.... plus a $10 dimmer from Ikea, if you have one near you

I am with Justin, if you only house one or two snake, adjustable human heat pad is very good. Ikea dimmer can attach to any non adjustable heat pad and work great.
