Custom Avatars???

Why can't I upload my own avatar. There used to be an option of doing this, now there are only the pre-defined ones and I can't use my own. Is this the same for everyone, because I can see some peope are using their own.

the option to use custom avatars was deleted when the site was upgraded. i would really like to see them fix it though because i would like to be able to change my avatar if i wanted to.

I agree! I want to get a better avatar too.
