I'm sorry but my brain is not responding this morning. Perhaps I need a coffee.

What is a Bcr? I am fairly familiar with the various sub species of the Bc (boa constrictor) but this one has me stumped.

Nice looking snake however.

Without trying to be smart, and please believe me I'm not, it would be normal procedure to describe any of the many sub species of the 'boa constrictor' with its abbreviated scientific name such as;

Bci - Boa constrictor imperator - e.g Colombian boa constrictor

Bcc - Boa constrictor constrictor - e.g Surinam boa constrictor

Bco - Boa constrictor occidentalis - Argentine boa constrictor

Bca - Boa consrictor amarali - e.g Bolivian boa constrictor

To name a few of the many 'Bc' sub species.

I think in your particular case it would then be;

Ecm - Epicrates cenchria maurus - Colombian rainbow boa

As I say I'm not trying to be smart but just trying to be helpful and I really was confused by the 'bcr' description and to be fair the photo was on the small side.

I was also hoping that just maybe we had a new sub species of Bc here!

As I say your snake is a good looker, very handsome and with interesting markings.
