So last night as I drifted in and out of consciousness I kept hearing some wierd noises comeing frommy reptile section of the room. I laid there for a good 20 minutes trying to figure out what these wierd sounds were? Could it be the monitor? the tortoise? snakes? Then I got up to finnally see what this racket was, I looked into the crested cage to find my pair locked up mateing! I am so excited! I cant wait for eggs.

Congratulations!
Yep, they sure do make a lot of noise. Mine tumble around and sqwak at each other until somebody gives up or gives in!
How old is your pair? It took my first female breeder about 30 days to lay the eggs after the first time I witnessed copulation.
Good Luck!

Yes, it was 30 days exactly. Then those eggs didn't make it. Basically the first time I saw copulation was Feb 14 (Valentine's Day, how sweet!), and the first time I had one hatch alive was July 4th. Hopefully you will have better luck than I did!
I use the coco fibre to incubate my eggs in. My crested enclosures have coco fibre substrate that's about 6 inches deep all around, so they can lay anywhere they choose. Tango normally leaves divets everywhere when she's trying to find somewhere to lay, so I just go on an egg hunt (a VERY careful one!).
Tango is currently taking a 4 month break from laying/producing eggs. Who knows when she'll want to start again, but I'll let her decide. She's still in with the same male, so I am going to assume she'll let him know when she's ready to go again!
I can normally tell when Tango is gravid by her weight. I have a nice little digital scale that I weigh them on. When she's laying, her weight follows a specific pattern as I've come to discover, which makes it easy to know when she's gravid or going to lay.
Now back to my homework!

Hopefully your christmas wishes will come true! If not, then ebay has a ton of them on it, and that's where I got mine for about $50 with shipping.

$14.96 for a digi scale that goes up to 500g isn't that cheap either lol. I got a cheap one that goes to 3kg for $20, needed it to weigh snakes as well.

Well, I got one that had a huge weighing area on it, which was important to me. I'm happy with it, and that's all that matters! I did look through all the scales that were available when I bought mine, but this was the only one that had what I needed. It was a birthday present to myself, so I didn't mind paying that. It's not much in the big scheme of things!
How long is the interval between clutches of eggs? I got my first clutch from my female about 2.5 weeks ago, when can I expect another clutch to be laid?

Average time between clutches is a month, but some go a bit sooner or later. I start keeping an eye on the females after 3 weeks so I don't miss the early clutches.
