i wouldnt use plexi as it scartches easily. i've never built an enclosure for an iggy, but if yours is not prone to nose rubbing you could use chicken wire (its like a wire grid that they could easily climb on), or some heavy duty outdoor screen. the screen might get torn up tho depending on how strong it is. also you could get some 1/4" glass cut into windows if you wanted to get fancy with a nice wood frame.
again, i've never built a cage for a big arboreal lizard. i'm sure theres others on this board that have, and would prob have better ideas.

When I built my iguanas cage, I used 2" welded wire on the front. Chicken wire seems to sag after a while and you must use 1" or better as they tend to break toes if the wires holes are to small. I have had several igs in this cage and haven't had any problems. This is for larger sized iguanas,as my smaller ones came and went as they pleased.
I have also used glass, but it gets dirty very quickly.
