View Full Version : new here and have a question about my ball python
I'm new to all this and it's hard finding the answers over the internet so I thought I'd ask here. My ball python is has a couple of pure white spots on him. What does that mean?
Thank you.

I think they are called "bullseye" bps, but its usually just 1 white spot. How many? How big, lots of description but a pic would be most helpful. People are trying to prove its genetics but as far as I have heard its not.
Thank you for replying.
He has two white spots. One of them about is about an inch and the other covers about three or four scales. His belly is white and his spots are slightly lined white. I do have a picture, it doesn't do any justice but I don't know how to attach a picture.

"I think" that they were also trying to prove that pure white belly pattern as well to be part of the ivory ball trait but dont take my word for it, i sorta remember but maybe somone else will reply with a better answer.

did these spots appear after a shed? I hade a similar thing happen to my ball pythons when they were younger, after they shed they had spots of white scales, the scales where still there, they were just white. I posted about it and no one could help me, personnally i think it happens because they are missing something, like uv or something. Good luck on this, pics would help a bunch.

As I remember only the diurnal animals need UV. Ball pythons are nocturnal.
well, I was told from the man who raised him, that he's always had these spots. I would definitely show some pictures, but how would I do that on here exactly?
Thank you all for your help.
