A buddy informed me of some sad news of one of our members that was posted on another forum. Being he was long time member of this forum thought it was the right thing to pass on this news to this forum' s members as well. If you knew or did not know we lost Richard Welter, he passed away from what I was told.

I did not know Richard very well other than some net chats and through a few of his posts on Emerald Tree Boas. I knew his passion for the holy grail of boas in any collection. We both shared the passion and desire to collect and see the outcome from this species. It was not long ago when he made his last post on the loss of his collection due to an illness in this species. This loss was not only a painful one for him but the whole community in general.

I hope Richard has found peace and harmony, and my condolences to his family and friends.

Below is a website with information and direction.

I met Richard at one of the shows and his passion for these wonderful animals was very evident. He was a great guy and will be missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

That is really sad to see any reptile breeder go like that. It happens to often! Im guessing he kept the Emerald Tree Boas? Was he far into the trade, as going towards owning rare animals? Thats life I guess.... I wish I could have met the guy :(
