it just so happens that my other anaconda had a respitory infection, so i exchanged him for another anaconda yesturday. now this one is bigger 4-5ft nice weight, but i notice that her scales are wierd they seem to be spotty and raised, i see no mites or ticks in the water when she soak and im keeping her on paper towel and i see nothing nothing seems to be moving on her checked her pretty closely
do you know what this might be?

I wouldnt be to concerned, I have a BCI with scales that stick up.. And he is completly fine.. I dont know what causes it but my only thought is that since he was always curled up it kinks the scales.
Just a thought

Not a 100% sure, but my BCI stays curled up gets the fold.. They dont really go away
Jamie
what i think he means is theres a single scale that sticks up and theres a few of them spred around?

Well, its pretty hard to tell from the picture you have, but it looks like the problem may be either water blisters or some sort of bacterial infection. Try and get some close ups when its out of the water, it'll be easier to tell what it is for sure. Water blisters is my guess though. Post some more pics asap and we will go from there. Hope this helps,

My suggestion is, if you really believe this is an abnormal problem, and it's the second snake you got from these people. you should take it back, get your money back, and never deal with them again. OR hey!, better yet, take it to a vet! All my new aquisitions go within days of arrival.

Well, I think i can see them, are they the greyish ones on her neck? If so I think its actually a couple bad sheds and the scales just stick and make bumps after shed after shed. But take him to a vet. I have never dealt with a anaconda.
