Isn't it mad that all these snakes just keep popping up. Never even knew they existed. Absolute stunner of a snake. Gonna add that to my wishlist. Prob never even see one let alone buy one but thats what wish lists are all about huh??

Yeah these are very hard to find colubrids.
This is why I was really surprised to find these at the Daytona show.
The price for these should be around $1000-$1500US each.
wow thats a fair chunk of change not to bad though that is one amazing snake.
how big do they get?

I just saw an advertisement for them
the breeders are asking $2750 for a pair of hatchlings right now.
These snakes don't really grow that big.
The adult size is about 24 to 35 inches long. So around 3 feet in length.

Chinese bamboos' are awesome! I've only seen one in person and it was for sale at the Hamburg, Pa expo. The guy had it for sale for $1250US(I think) and offered it to me for $1000US, suprisingly enough he was going to let me hold it. I passed b/c I don't know there speed and didn't want it to take off on me. I thought about buying it, but I had already spent too much money on snakes and I am not sure how hard they are to keep so I didn't want to risk it, espescially for that kind of cash. I think they're cities I or II aswell, so I couldn't have brought it back anyway. It was very tempting though. Simon: do you know the companies name that was selling the one you saw in daytona? It looks a lot like the one I saw.

Hey! Simon. That's an interesting snakes for sure! Any plan to get one in the future? In my opinion, the porphyracea from taiwan locality is even prettier than the mainland one as it got more red on it. Thanks for the pictures!
