I was just wonder if anyone has experimented with them in african monitor diets
I know they are very high in protien and probably a very easily digestable source of nutrition
I've done a bit of research but I have never heard of anyone using them
any comments?

If you raise them yourself to guarantee no pesticides and lower chance of parasites the are a great source of food. I have kept them in rain barrels or large rubbermaids after grabbing some from bait shops just fed them compost and topsoil mixture. My leos like them and my V.albigularis could eat lbs. if I let them. What are you planning on feeding them to?

If your eating worms my friend, get rid of the black throat and get yourself some food.!! :D But seriously, Blackthroats can eat !! and are a bottomless pit,I have been feeding mine, rats, chicks, roaches, snails, mice,or any other small rodent. Just don't let him get too overweight.
