I don't understand why people like these so much... I'm sorry Simon... it's a matter of preference. They're kinda odd looking... I just don't understand.

Amazingly cool! I want to watch these cool little ones grow up, please.

Rainey, know what you mean about wondering why folks like a certain herp. I've seldom seen a snake I didn't like, but God forgive me, I find leopard geckos kinda odd-looking.

Sorry to all the leo fans out there, it's just my opinion which counts for very little. indeed.

What is the little horn on their head for?

LOL, those little horns are for nothing.....lol at least from what I know of. There is no use for them. Just a little cute looking thing for decoration or something like that....

Ryan, I can totally understand. No offence is taken at all. Just different people with different preference. But what I really like about these is how they change in color from hatchlings to adults. Which is a grey to green color. I also like the GTB, when they turn from red/yellow to greenish blueish. Love those too..just that I think the GTB requires too much space....for me..... so I thought that I would just go for smaller lilttle snakes....and stick with more of the colubrids.....lol

Really nice snakes, Simon. They gradually change colour to green when they reach adulthood, right? Or have I been drinking too much rubbing alcohol..

Do they burrow? the horn kind of looks like a tail tip...

Cool looking snake, they're different, I like that.

Edwin,

yes they will grow up to green color. That is what I really like about them.....the horn and the coloration change. It's almost like the bloodred in corn snake....looks normal at birth but then turns red at the end.

Well I found out that they don't like to burrow that much....but instead they like staying in the water a lot....I have found at least 3 out of 6 of them sleeping in their little water bowl all the time....man I guess that they just love the water....lol
