Rubbermaid heating?

Hey, If i decide to keep my BCI in a rubbermaid container or something of that sort, how am i soposed to keep the reptile heated? Using a heatpad might melt the rubber, wouldnt it? and theres no possible way of using a heatlamp to heat the rubbermaid. Any suggestions, or ways that other people do it? or am i wrong about the heatpad melting the rubbermaid?

I have never used rubber maid...I find that clay flower pots turned over on their saucers with the hole at the bottom made bigger by tapping it with a hammer, works better and they are just as cheap and last forever unless it's broken.

if you are melting the rubbermaid with heat, you are cooking a snake. A heating pad on medium with no auto shut off will not melt the plastic and will keep it about 90 degrees.

Use a heat pad. It shouldnt be hot enough to melt the rubbermaid and you should be using a dimmer/thermostat to make sure of that. Your body is about 97 degrees F so if it is hot to you, that would mean its over 97 and therefore its to hot.

A heat pad (human heat pad - found at Walmart and other places) is safe for plastics like Rubbermaid or Sterlites.

Heat tape on a controller is safe as well.

A hot spot of 90 - 95F will not melt these plastics.
