how long have you had the snake?..seems you havent had it long seeing how you said it hasn't come out for 3 days...a corn snake should be fed about once every 6-8 days.....shedding takes more than a week sometimes...but if there are shedding problems it could need help getting it off...

There is a good chance it is going into a shed cycle & is being more dormant than usual. Nothing to worry about probably. Snakes are quite often not very active if they are content with a full belly. In the wild they spend lots of time just hiding out between meals. Be sure to check to see its OK & chances are its just lying low between meals & is quite possibly in shed as you have now had it for 4 weeks. Young ones will usually shed every 4-6 weeks while growing & sometimes its hard to tell when they are in shed if you aren't that used to them yet. Mark

Yes & No, it will probably be fine, but sometimes smaller snakes are intimidated by large enclosures & it may stress it out some & affect its feeding. You may want to try it & if you find that it does affect its feeding etc. you may want to go back to the smaller enclosure until the snake grows up some more. Can also be hard to locate the little one in the bigger tank also, Mark

I remember when i first had my garter snake shed, it got stuck, i held the two flaps from the head piece and it moved out on its own, It got detached from what it attached to at first, the log in the tank i'm presuming... yours is fine, for a good corn snake care sheet, try this:

A young snake can be fed MUCH more often then that with no negative effects...anyways, glad you found out what was going on with your snake JKad.
