Does this sound about right. I weigh my Boa every so often to see if he is growing ok. I find it real hard to tell just by looks alone. Here are the weights so far. Does he sound like he is putting on weight quick enough??

17/03/2005 - 148 grams
21/03/2005 - 154 grams
05/04/2005 - 164 grams
23/04/2005 - 176 grams
21/05/2005 - 213 grams
16/05/2005 - 255 grams
22/06/2005 - 288 grams
29/07/2005 - 355 grams

I was told that Boa's grow very fast but mine don't seem to be. I'm not trying to rush growth or anything here, just wanna make sure i'm doing ok??

Regards

Adam

I never weigh my snakes. As long as your boa is shedding regularily and maintaining a healthy weight I wouldn't worry too much. If you notice your boa doesn't seem to be growing at all, then there is reason for concern. Average general size for a Bci to reach in the first year is between three and four feet.

Boas should grow 70% of there length in there 1st year. After that it just depends on how bug they'll get.
