do you guys suggest a humidity box? my snake is in shed right now and im having a tought time keeping the humidity above 60%. i was thinking of making one. i wouldnt mind some advice on how and what to build it out of, and what to put in it.

u can use a rubbermade just cut a hole in the side so the snake can get in to it & one in the top of the lid if u want and fill it with some damp sphagnum moss. hope this helps

I perfer to use a piece of sponge or foam, as opposed to moss, because it is reusable and doesn't mildew easily. Also, moss sometimes brings in some nasties with it.

i was thinkin bout the sponge idea too, its much easier to get sponges than moss.

ok well i made one out of an old coffee can, ive cleaned it with really hot water and everthing but i cant get rid of the coffee spell! is that alright or will it hurt my snake?

i would just go to a dollar store and get a rubbermade the coffee can will rust if it is metal.

If it still smells like coffee, I would just use something else like rubbermaid or yogurt/creamcheese/cottage cheese container.

ya thats what i thought would be a better idea, i just liked this one because it was big enough and it had a nice tight lid.
