Ever since we got into the Red Stripes, we've wondered, what the babies would look like if we crossed the Red Stripe Mutation into the Amazing Super Hypo Tangerines we were working with. This is the Red Stripe Male that we chose to use for this cool little project.

At this point in time, we had already been working with Urban Gecko stock Super Hypo Tangerine for three years. I had the perfect candidate for this operation. I got this girl from Craig in 2001 and right from the beginning, I could see how cool she was going to look as an adult. She carries a very unique stripe that developed as she aged and her body Coloration is Jaw Dropping. I have Baldy SHTCTs that are nice and Orange, but this girl....you need to see her in person.

Well, I was hoping that the Tangerine coloration would dominate and that the Stripe would be INTENSE. I wished for a clean background of blinding coloration and a striped body, but banded tail. The reason for the banded tail? Because the Carrot Tail gene is mighty easy for me to introduce this way. So, the results.......Well here are a couple pics of some Babies taken at 6 weeks old.

These babies hatched out very variable, as I thought they might. Some look like they are going to be smokin SHTs and the ones with the stripes are very COOL!!!! The colors on these little gems is so intense!!!! The seems to change color every other day. I find myself thinking, "What will they Look Like Today?"
There are some with wide stripes, and some with thin stripes, and ALL Have completely banded tails. I really can't wait to see what these Geckos are going to look like as they age and what Their offsping will look like.

Well I hope you enjoyed my ramblings and I will keep everyone posted on how the babies are progressing. Thanks for your time and I would appreciate any comments from anyone that may offer them.
Take care
