View Full Version : breeding yellow condas
i'm having some troubles finding info about breeding yellow anacondas. right now i have a 7 foot male conda, i have no idea how old he is and im soon purchasing a female who is a bit smaller. i know they wont be breeding for a while but the only site i found with info was mostly talking about green condas. it said males can breed when atleast 4 foot and 2 years old. females can breed when atleast 6 feet and 4 years old. that seems like a pretty long time to me, is this true? any other bits of info would be great thanks.

I can't help out with first-hand info,[ i've never owned a conda], but i have read males between 18months-2years[4 - 6ft], and females between 3-4years[6 - 8ft].
Wish i could be more help.
I too cannot find information regarding the 'yellow' anaconda, only the green, though I will keep looking. Let us know how things go.
well i wont be breeding for quite a while. my male is huge and im geting a female soon whos not even as big as him so i will have to wait till shes big also. i'm asuming the time of year they breed and things like that are the same though.
