I just wanted you all to know im making some big steps in life. Ive decided on a career and im aiming high, doing all I can to prepare myself for the future.
I have been thinking about applying for the Winnipeg Police Department, and I have already made the first few steps in applying..and meeting the standards to getting to the next steps.
Next two steps are a written exam which ill need to study for, and a physical exam called POPATS. ( Police Officers Physical Ability Test). I have been spending alot of time training myself physcially, and mentally. So ill be spending less and less time on here (aswell as all the other forums im apart of ) posting or paying much attention to anything going on, until I get either turned down, or accepted into the academy.
If I can pass those two tests, ill be submitted into a list of other applicants and it'll narrow down from there either on face to face interveiws, backround checks, interest levels etc. (More complicated than it sounds)
Training will be 37 weeks. Im 100% determined that this is what I need in my life, and im aimed in the right direction, aslong as I meet there standards.
Im not sure how much time ill be home when goin threw the process, but I cant imagine very much. Im arranging for someone to care for my animals while im doin this if I cannot be here for them. If not....a few will hafta go up for sale.

Well , wish me luck, the next tests are within the next 3-5 weeks.

Anyone else on here apart of a police department..or have tried and have any encouraging advice?lol.

Thanks for your time...I'm not gone yet!
