Corns are awesome snakes. For someone looking for a hardy, easily maintained, and docile snake, I'd recommend a corn in a second. Mine's awesome, and is actually the species that got me well and truly hooked into this hobby. Good luck.

I would suggest a 20 gallong long. Possibly the next size up.

I'd recommend a 10-15 gallon for a hatchling, or rubbermaid of the same size, and then a 30-50 gallon for adults.

I'd also suggest checking out The Cornsnake Manual, by Bill and Kathy Love...they're some of the better breeders in the game, from what I've heard, and that book gave me tons of useful info when I was first learning about my corn. That book will give you just about everything you'll need.

Good luck. Remember, knowledge is power.

I got mine on amazon.ca, as I'm in Canada, although it is available on amazon.com as well, as far as I know. Also, http://www.corn-utopia.com/ is Kathy's site. Good luck

I agree; start with something small such as a 10 or 15 gallon aquarium or rubber maid and move up as time goes by.
