so im thinking about getting into breeding within the next two years so i have a few questions.......I see a lot of HETs please explain this to me....also say you were to take a pastel and a normal breed them what would your out come be, would you have a half pastels half normals or would you have say 50% hets or 100% hets, also say you were to breed two 100% het for pastels, would you get pastels out of this? i guess i dont exactly know how you come up with HETs....all help would be greatly appreciated

Patel jungle is Co-domimant which produce no het as far as I know. Breed a Pastel to a normal you get 50% pastel and 50% normals, no het. Breed two pastel together and you will get 25% chance to get a super pastel. etc. Simple recessive like ghost or abino will produce Het. Let say breed an albino to a normal and you will get all 100% Het abinos but they all looks like normal. There are so many things to learn about breeding snake and I am just step my foot inside the door, but I think it is as easy as breeding a dog.

Edmond said it pretty good. A het is generally a normal looking animal that can produce when crossed with another same het the homozygous form of the animal. Example two animals both het for albino have a 25% chance of producing an albino.
Also technically pastels are hets :) They are het for super pastel :D They are just visible hets.
