Now this is precisely the reason i dont keep chams, so a buddy of mine has 2 veileds and one has developped a swelling on its eye. I cant believe how delicate their husbandry is (I just rescued a neglected panther that just died on me yesterday) I tried my best with him and i am not about to try to rescue a veiled now so i need to know what best to tell this guy about the swelling, please no flames or postings about how he should not keep them, i realize that myself but he is a friend so i dont want to insult anyone but rather teach them
thanks

Wash out the eye with a shower, keep it clean if it dosent help a vet is your only option, as for you friend let us know what husbandry he/she is using i find most eye issues related to hydration in general. Extra mistings ect, look for any extra fluid/puss this would indicate a infection, there are other causes for poofyness so if you cant get it clean and healed it will go down hill, is this a constant poofiness? More info is needed.

As for you comment about chams, They are a hard lizzard to care for id put them at the top of the lizzard scale or close to it, they require a close eye dedication, and experience. The rewards when you are keeping a cham happy and healthy are great, I think many people have to wrong idea about there care and are not dedicated enough to the cham and its needs, I have been keeping chams for 5+ years and I am still learning all the time. bah just a little rant lol.
