Measurement request?

My dad and I are building a shelf//rack this weekend to place my tanks on so I can stack them....I just need to know how tall the dome lamps are exactly. Ill be using the ones from Home Depot probably.

If anyone can find out quick it wouldb e much appreciated.

I have 1 of those dome shrouds with a ceramic emitter for heating up frozen rodents, I measured it fast 6" 1/4 tall and 8" 1/8 diameter. Also remember there is the cord which depending on your application can add more height loss.

I'm not sure if its going to be this weekend though, cause my parents are going awway for the weekend. But I might just ask my friend who is in a Techincal school for Carpentry to come over.
