Crested Eggs.......

I dont know if not to worrie yet but this is my first time hatching crested eggs............or really the first time this has happened.........but yesturday morning i woke up to find the second of two eggs cracked open with the inside of the egg coming out..........(the first of two hatched and the little fella is doing great)..........but anyways my concern is that that happened yesturday mourning and today he still has not hatched...................should i worrie..........will he survive........... anyone have some info............. any help would be greatly appreciated............... thank-you JLewenza

More information might help, such as if this is about the time that they should be hatching?

From my experience, if they don't make it out of the egg within 24 hours, then they are sadly gonners:( . It's a bit of a debate on whether you should help them out of the egg or not. Some people say let nature take its course, others want to try to help the baby out. It's really up to you.

I'm sure more experienced people here might be able to help you more...

Yeah i hate to say it but after about 30 hours i went in and got him out .........the sad thing is when i went in he was not even breathing ..............but i did notice he was fully developed...........his sibling is doing great now..............so now i know ........i wish i could have helped him a little but now i know a little info on this thank you and i would really like to hear more from other's so i know kind of why this happens................thanks again for all your info......
