I had 2.2 earlier in the year. 1.1 were about 10", and the female was aberrant, had circles instead of straight bands in a couple areas. And the other 1.1 was about 17", the female was one of the few scarlet king color morphs, Apricot. She was quite a looker.

Now, I only have one of the babies, the male. He's quite awesome, the only bad thing is I have no source for ground skinks, and he's picky about taking the skink tails I offer him. But once or twice a month he'll take a tail. :) He's just starting to develop yellow bands.

Mike we are STILL getting rain here and its flooded every good spot for them. I am sorry I haven't been able to get them but this weird weather is crazy all it is good for is toads and frogs. I have collected about 40 Oak toads with in 3 weeks and 4 Southern with a huge monster southern tonight! This thing is every bit of 6-7" and built like a tank!

David, it's cool man, like I said, he's eating the skink tails, just not frequently.

I emailed you a little while back, I want that "special" ground skink. Get back to me dude. :)

Mike you know you don't have to use just ground skinks. A 5 lined will go a long way. Many scarlet kings will take anoles as well. Mouse tails if you have nothing else. Make a puree of the skinktail w/water and use that for scenting.

Yeah, a couple people recommended the puree... something I'm trying to avoid. When I got him he wouldn't take anything but live ground skinks. Then he started taking f/t ground skinks, f/t five lined skinks, until I ran out of ones small enough. He won't take anoles, and I don't like force feeding unless I absolutely need to.
