I have been helping a friend to try and get his baby sand boa to eat, I have never really dealt with sand boas and was wondering what are the best ways of going about getting him to eat? Thanks

What are you keeping the sand boa in? They do best in small enclosures, we keep neonates in deli cups for as long as six months. We use a substrate called "beta chip", it is ground hardwood. Sand will work equally well in fact, I have used newspaper. For water, spray a couple of drops on the inside lid or the deli cup once a week or offer water in a small dish (bottle cap) once a week. Do not leave water in container, they do not like humidity. 80 degrees or so is a good temperature, the key is dry.
