Well guys the ontario reptile expo is comin up! So I have decided to definatly get a leo and probably a pair at that. A male and female of course. So about the cage. Will it be alright to keep them together in the same cage?? It would just be a lot more cost effective. Thx for any replies. I just didnt knwo this becasue everywhere i look most places say its ok but i just want to make sure.

no matter what if you decide to get 2 you should have 2 setups.. for quaritine reasons and if they fight... as well if you getting a male and female youll need to give the female a break from the male once in a while.. the male will always try to breed and that can be stressful on the leo..

yup no prob..

substrate - papertowel or for a little more money but more natural look get some tile cut to size at home depo.. 2-10 bucks

water and food dishes - ( 4 ) at walmart in the flower pot section there are clay flower pots and the clay bottoms.. the bottoms are great for dishes... 45c each

hides (4) the clay flower pots are great for that.. 1 dollar each

then under tank heater and tanks.. get that at the show for a deal.. and dont stick the heater to the tanks.. the decoration you just made for under 10 bucks..

oh and i almost forgot... digi thermos 10 bucks each..

youll also want to make a humid hide.. i amde one that looks like this ( 3bucks )

the pot and bottom.. with a hole cut in for an entrance.. and the best way i found for the hole is make a deep scratch useing a peice of metal and give it a tap or use a wet file... ( constantly wet the pot and file it makes it easier..

heres a pic of my cron cage foe a comparison.. you just dont need a branch or plants or anything...

so basicly not including the tanks tops and heting pads ( cause i dont know the price of thoes) you can get both tanks set up with thermos for about 40 bucks.. not bad eh...

and heres a link to humid hides...
