My panther previously mentioned has dug a hole which seems to be flat at the bottom (almost as if dirt is packed down) with a second hole or "caved in dirt" about two inches away....

I was wondering if she layed the eggs and forgot about burying them or what is going on? She doesn't look that fat but then again she never really did. Her coloration is still very striped but not super dark...it's hard to say. I put some food in the elevated dish for her and she has not eaten it yet but she is just climbing by the heat lamp on the screen sidings.

Please send any comments..
Much appreciated!

sorry all...I took a chance and dug up the hole and the eggs were down there....

For the future for anyone else they were NOT covered up like most chameleons do with the extra pile on top...she actually just covered them halfway and left the tunnel as is...wierd?

Anyway...anyone know if the vermiculite should be moist? I squeezed my hands with wet vermiculite to get most of the water out...is that good enough?

The vermiculite should be moist, I squeeze till it does not drip.

Good luck!

28...but some may not be fertilized...I will hold on to everything until they die so I guess I will know soon enough.

The eggs are in at room temp which is usually around 74-5deg F and night drops to around high 60's....Is this ok? I plan on bringing the temp to around high 60's to 71deg F in a month to diapause them..

That may be a bit on the cool side. I've read that incubating at a steady 28C (82F), they'll hatch between 159-362 days.

You'll know in a week or two if there are any "slugs."

What flavour of panthers are these?

Good luck!
