He/she ate dirt...

Hey all

I was feeding my crresties crix tonight and I saw one of them get a mouth full of dirt when hunting.....is this going to hurt him/her??? How do I prenvent this from happening and still have a natural looking VIV....

All depends on what kind of "dirt" it is. I use coconut husk in all of my tanks, and its my experience that cresties aren't sooo accurate when they are hunting. I haven't had any probloms in the almost 3 years i kept cresties. On the other hand if the "dirt" is just that, dirt (soil) I'm not so sure how the crestie would react.
