I just got back from the muskoka area, nice and burnt.
I took tonnes of pictures of all the turtles and snakes we ran into plus some extras!

The lake only has three cottages on it, pretty sweet.

The snake with the stripes is an Eastern Garter Snake (Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis)

The snake with a ring around its neck is appropriately called a Northern Ringneck Snake (Diadophis punctatus edwardsi)

Mmmmmmmmmmm that's good snakery!

I would really love to keep a ringneck..... i wouldnt suppose you could eh? Even the garter grew friendly after a while. :)
