View Full Version : Am I missing something?
OK, so I am building a combination rat and mouse rack. I *was* planning on making it two units wide, 4 levels - bottom 3 levels were gonna be jumbo kitty litter pans, top level was gonna be large kitty litter pans. I was impressed by Cas' rack and was hoping to do something like that. Now when I went to get them I learned that the edges on them are bowed, the larger the pan, the more the sides bow outward. Here's my question, how would I keep the pans on a track if they don't have straight edges??? Thank you for any help
maybe build a sort of square ring around the pans? basicly you would have a square or rectangle piece of board and cut a hole in the board the same shape as your pans

as long as the front and back sides of each rail is equal its going to stay on the track regardless is the middle is touching or not.. if they arent try to find a differant brand of kitty litter pan :) or go to a building store near you and ask them if they have mortar mixing pans.. they are heavier material and are bigger and can hold alot more rats then jumbo kitty pooper catchers.
