It's not just age that matters with breeding cresties, altho I will say that they should be at least a year and a half.
What your really looking for is size. The female should be full grown, and well feed. I go by looks alone, but I know that there are quite a few breeders weigh there geckos, and from what I can remember 36 grams is the minimum altho i can't say for sure I could be very wrong on that.
For me to breed a female, I look at various things. The size of the tail (if it has a tail) should be thick. There belly should be plump. Also the muscle tone in the legs.
Above all else the female should be healthy and well feed.
Hope this helps.
