This is our "Monster", he's 9.5 inches, but he has "fur".. we think anyways.... Check the close up.. What do you guys think??

Looks like he has a somewhat more developed crest than most have. The 'hairy' trait isn't all that common, seems to have been lost over the generations, so you could try to re-invent it if you have some females like him. There's also a 'double crest' trait where they seem to have twice as many fringes as regulars have. Sometimes the fringes are at different angles forming a "V" if seen straight on. It would be worth trying to breed for fur, it looks really good to me.
How is the crest on his head? Does he have a much wider crest, almost drooping over his ears? The crowned trait is something I'd love to try for but haven't really found any cresties with enough of it to start with.

If by chance you don't like furry cresties, I can always open my home to an abandoned and rejected cresty.... always room for a few more..... ;)

This is a full body shot. I do really like the fur so no neglected crestie here.

wow, very nice... and what a coincidence too. I actually have a female here that's a spitting image of your big guy. She's a 9" 60-something-gram peach dalmation, she even has that lighter dorsum pattern. I'll post some pics when I get home tonight...

Here are a few shots, luckily she's a bit of a ham for attention... (maybe it has something to do with the apricot treats that come afterwards. :p) I'm a huge fan of big shaggy cresteds, if you ever decide to focus on a project in that area let me know.

We have a few cresties showing the "fur" trait, but not around the neck like I would love. We do have two females showing the crowned trait so of course that is what I am striving for. Structured cresties have always intrigued me, especially if I can get the fire/harlequin pattern in there and I believe we just might have got our wish this year.
Beautiful cresties Frances and Sara!
