Finally got some softball sized eggs!!!

She finally laid ..

My african Rock python laid about 3 days ago .. unefortunatly .. 35 were slugs but 27 are nice and fertile! I let her do the maternal incubation thing for 3 days but sfter that she seems to have abanded the eggs.. so much for mom doing her job! .. I was looking foward to maternal incubation.

She was bred by a very young male (9 and a half pounds) - Im thinking thats why she had such a high infertility rate..

.. She is 4 and about 100 pounds (b4 she laid)

Here are some pics.. check out the size difference between the Irian java carpet python eggs and the Rock python eggs :) .. Its crazy! (the irian eggs are due in a week - thats why there slowly caving in a bit ..)

Ohh and how long is incubation .. all sources seem to differ between 60-90 days?
