This little gem followed me home from the St. Jacob's show on Sunday.

Shortly after we got home:

All fired up a few hours later (after polishing off some fruit/yogurt mix)

Thanks to Max & Frances at Stickytoedgeckos :)

If he ends up male, I'll eventually team him up with Little Red Ridinghood (http://www.ssnakess.com/photopost/data/511/321red_fire_cili.jpg) but if it ends up being a girl, Good Ol' Rascal (http://www.ssnakess.com/photopost/data/511/321mcrorg1-med.jpg) will be the lucky guy.

(I know I got the date wrong on some of the copyrights... call it a late show hang-over effect. At least I knew enough that the date was one day off from the show date, I just went backwards one day. I need more sleep and/or coffee ;) )

The best part is... he/she is even more striking in person... :)

It was great to meet everyone... finally!

Max and Frances, we'll be knocking on your door in the very near future for some new crested children... and Betty, I'm still reeling from those Doug Healey babies!!! I just couldn't take my eyes off them!

And Hilde... I know female's what you're hoping for... but that cresty with Red Riding Hood... *DROOL*

Cresty overload.... :D

The nice part about this little sucker is that it doesn't matter which way he/she/it goes - I've got a good mate waiting either way.

He sure seems to like the fruit/yogurt mix I make, cleaned up a capful last night and is starting on another serving right now.

Awesome find there Hilde! What a beautiful collection that Max and Frances have.
Babysweet and Jon: Real nice meeting you and I actually have to admit that I "can't" wait for those two to get bigger and have some hatchlings. I will gladly share pics then.

Did you notice the fat little belly on him/her? The little feller just loves to eat!

I'm soo glad he/she didn't stress from being at the show, and is adjusting well to the new home.

Thank you for that fruit yogurt mix, our cresteds love it and seem to be putting on the pudge since we started feeding it to them 2 months ago.

You're using the recipe too? No wonder the little sucker felt right at home and dug in .... home cooking, just like mom used to serve up ;)
I still haven't made up my mind about gender. The way this guy eats, I tend to think female, typical glutton attitude to food, but there's enough bulge at the tail base to make me wonder. I guess it will take a few more weeks to be sure.

Hilde,

That recipe is AMAZING!!!!!

Our guys just love it, and I am sure he/she was doing its own little happy dance when it got a smell of what was coming its way. We have the repti-hammocks in all of our adults tanks, with half of a coconut shell on it for a sleep/hide spot, we normally put the mixture in little dishes on the hammock, beside the coconut shell, makes it easier for them to get at to eat, but our Monster (he's 9.5 inches long and eats everything) dumped the dish we had the mixture in, but he manged to grab the dish with his front feet, while still hanging (yes.. hanging!!!) from the hammock by his back legs and tail.. So here he is, hanging percariously by his tail and back feet only, and meanwhile still trying to lift what is left of the mixture in the dish to his mouth with his front feet. It was a true "Kodak" moment (and of course, the camera was in the truck!!!!) But he would have rather fallen to the ground then let go of the food dish!! :D
