Bay of LA and the San Borego
Hmmm... I'm gonna go with Upper Borrego or El Rosario...
yikes...what are the differences in the rosies from different locales?
eg, why did you chose Borrego over the others?
I like all them localities, hee hee.

I like them all but love the El Rosario!
Kyle
Silke,
The main difference between localities are colour and pattern variation. For instance mainland mexican rosies are black and white striped, el rosarios are red stripes on a deep slate grey background, upper borrego are orange zig zags on a blue base colour, etc. Of course there is still variation within each locality. Also, some locales are generally larger than others, for instance mexicans are the small end of the scale for rosy boas, coastal localities are typically larger. Hope this helped ;)

Those pics should give a pretty good idea of the diversity of the Rosy locaities.
Nice pics Stormya!
As for my favourites.........I have to go with the Upper Borrego followed by El Rosarios and the little Mexicans!
Though I think all rosies are just sooooo cute!

Your welcome.... and the temperment seem to be like any other snake... it depends a lot on the particular snake. I had a Bay of LA and it was as docile as they come and an awesome eater. Alicewave has one that is/was nippy and was a troublesome eater for a while.
All in all I believe that the Rosy's are a snake that is docile and loves to hide and burrow in their substrate. So dont get one expecting it to be a "display" snake. That is my experience.... I am sure some one will come along with experience that is totally the opposite though. :)
LOL...Tony I see my tastes have rubbed off on you ;);)
Silke,
Generally speaking, rosies are one of the most docile snakes you will find. Temperament is similar between all localities, though I have heard sometime long ago that Mexicans seemed to be the calmer of them, though since they are all very docile, I don't think it would really make for a noticeable difference if they were. As with anything, there are always a few exceptions. Most rosy bites seem to be the result of SFE's. Hope this helped :)
Stormyva,
Do you have anything in your enclosure for your rosy to climb on? Rosies love to climb and I find them to be surprisingly active snakes. I've never known a rosy that woudln't climb given the chance. My rosies are visible at least 70% of the time I'd say.
Ummmm Linds..........is that rubbed off on me or jammed down my throat? hehehe
Nope, I admit it I am a converted rosy boa lover and I am proud of it!!!

I have to say I'm converting too - the more I see, the more I want! Looking at those pictures, I'd have to say I like the San Felipe the best...
Anyone know where I could find one in the Northeast/East Central Kansas area? I haven't seen them anywhere...
