Just some questions about the size of cali kingsnakes. Firstly, at one year old, how long and how thick do they tend to be. As well, if possible, could somone give me a list maybe of how large they should be and when, ex: 1 year 2 feet, 1.5 years 3 feet, 2 years 4 feet. Then, i would like to know when you switched your cali kings over to hoppers, mines 2 feet and a little thicker then your index finger. And finally, i would really like to see a pic of a fully grown cali king with the owner, or somthing to compare the size to. Thanks
Daniel

Well, I'll put it this way...

I have 1.1 Adult California Kingsnakes, they are both around 3 feet long. And about 3-4 years old.

I have a male albino banded california kingsnake, that hatched out in fall of 2004. He was 12" long when I got him, and now he is about 2 feet long.

According to most books, kingsnakes should double their size every year. For example, after the first year the snake should be 18" long, then by the second year it should be 36" long.

I started my albino male off on 2 pinkies a meal, once a week. Then after about 2 weeks on that, he started getting more hungry lol, so I started giving him up to 4 pinkies a meal, every 3-4 days. At this rate, he shed once a month. Then he started getting 2 large pinkies and 1 day old pinky a meal. Then he started getting 3 large pinkies.

Now I either give him 4 large pinkies, or 2 large pinkies and a small hopper. He's a monster.
