I keep only a few hots now adays. The majority of my collection consists of colubrids with a few boids thrown in.

I keep both venomous and non-venomous snakes. I like my rattlers the most, but not because they are venomous.

Rob, I also have rattlers, Atrox, Lepidus and Viridis they all have personiality, somthing that my non venomous do not seem to have, dont get me wrong i like my non but i can put 2 atrox together and they each will have a different personiality. I like that.:D

i am not primarily a hot keeper. all of my collection is non-venemous except for my pair of durissus, which were my first hots some years back, and are my only. i dont have the energy for more than one pair of hots.

Thunder, C Durissus have a rep for standing their ground, even more so than C Atrox, i can see why you would have only energy for the one pair, a friend of mine has a pair, he really has to keep both eyes on them when he is feeding or doing cage work.:sun:

lepidus: my male is fairly defensive, but my female actually rides the hook like a doll, not the usual for the species.

thunder, i just love the Crotalus species, they have a lot of personiality from individual to individual, my male C. atrox is really low keyed, but my female is always geared up and ready to go.:usa:
