We were informed they have a reptile"Expert" working there and the lizard is just sleeping. They did offer to sell it to me for only $59.
My wife lost it about then and customers stopped to see what all the screaming was about. I just pinted at the lizard and said "Do you want to buy animals from someone that does this?"
I did get my wife out before the cops showed up.

Dont we all love reptile ''Experts''? They offered to sell it to you for ''only'' 59$?!? It would have been a total ripp off!! A healthy baby often goes under 60$!! ... if the sav was in that position because of crappy husbandry, then the ''reptile experts'' needs to get a new job...

That is disturbing....Even if it is sleeping...it looks deathly ill!!. Poor animals suffer under these conditions...shouldnt be allowed, they should be fined!

Fined would not stop them , they should be given and firm and stiff beating daily until they realize what they are doing is wrong .. I have seen them like that s awell and they were "only" $70.00 .. that really pisses me off to see this ..

well, he IS just SLEEPING.....................................likel y due to the severe dehydration and malnourishment forcing him to shut down in order to survive.. But yes, the expert was right, he is sleeping.

Bloody morons. Chances are the survival on that animal is next to none. Very sad.... Scott, give your wife a high five for the rant in the pet store :)
