OMG that is too awsome. :) I wish I had one like that :)
I actually have a question (not sure if this is the right thread), but does anyone know where i can get a cheap/free tank, donated possibly. and I'd like some info on what exactly a red-tail boa would require (also what would look nice) in their tank in the way of general environment, size, accessories, etc.
Thanks!
Jackie :)
Check garage sales and drive around on garbage day. You'd be surprised how often i see someone carrying an aquarium away from somebody else's garbage. I'm never that lucky person though. 8(
Most of my herp homes are aquariums, but it is better to build something. You can make it to your exact needs, and aquariums really are for fish, not herps. I don't plan on adding any aquariums into my herp room, i plan on working them all out. Anything new gets a cage built out of sealed plywood. Besides, the more i can stack, the more room i have for herps.

oops, forgot to say how much i liked that viv. Excellent job. Since you just added plants i guess it hasn't matured yet. Have you planned on the plants growing? or are you going to keep trimming them down to their current size?

WOW, sorry for the really late post, but I actually forgot I signed up here. I will answer your questions as best I can remember:
*LDC*jimbo : Yes, they are all live plants in there with the exception of the plants on top of the "waterfall" I used plastic there for durability. The Paludarium is home to 1 Azureus dart frog. Sadly, I bought 2 a week ago, and one managed to escape and die :( There is also 2 red fin tetras, 2 head and tail light?? tetras, and one albino cory catfish.
ChokeOnSmoke : The paludarium is a 55 gallon aquarium. The lighting is just a basic flourescent light and one 15w "aquarium type" incandescent blub. Well, not really expensive to be honest. I had the tank and stand, if I had to guess total?? Probably close to $100-$150 to set up. That included filter, water pump, cork bark, eggcrate, pvc, silicone, plants, gravel, substrate, animals, etc. I built it over the course of a couple of months actually. I didn't have a lot of extra money to play with so I built in when I had some extra cash(which wasn't often).
K1LOS : Yes, I plan on doing some trimming when it needs it. I will let the plants grow out until they become too much. The tank is close to 2 months going and already things are growing fast!! Funky molds, lichens, cool stuff!! I have added some new plants since then, maybe I should take an updated pic soon!

Very very nice cage. That's all I can say...everyone else already asked the questions I had.

I believe that "glass cage" comment was in regards to maintaining humidity, which in a paludarium like this is NOT an issue....
NICE setup! That's the kind of thing that people love to see in your house.
Did you see the same enclosure I saw when I closed my eyes? I thought I saw you there. WOW.....just WOW
