For anyone who see the tragedy of one of my kings months back. If not...to make a short story shorter. She escaped from her rubbermaid container one night and found the next morning, alive, but in what I thought was really BAD shape. If she had gone any longer who know's if she would even be alive?.

Here ill post some Before and After shots.

Here she is before the whole thing.

Here's the pic taken the day after she was found.

About a week later, after it scabbed over..she had her shed..which peeled the scab off with it, and revealed the fresh flesh again. She did take a fuzzy mouse that day...so it was progress.

Now after about 3-4 sheds, the wound has completly sealed itself..the skin pulled all nice and tight together..and she looks GREAT!

those are great news!! You must have done a really nice disinfecting job to prevent such a wound from getting an infection!!

Indeed, I cleaned the enclosure few times a day, luke warm bath's and polysporin were of GREAT help. Also I kept the paper towl a little damp to avoid her sticking too it..just misted once gently over top her box.

Nice work, Rich! :)

Is she still able to bend her body at the point of the scar(s)?

Thanks Tim. Yes she is..shes completly mobile..im truly impressed! The scar isnt as noticeable...almost dont see, but I still know its there. Im just happy shes alive, eating well etc etc. She may never breed, I dont know if the scar will alow her skin to stretch properly, but who knows.
